Settlement and integration can be a long process for newcomers. There’s adapting to daily life, finding a new job, learning a new language, figuring out where to buy groceries, shop, where to send the children to school and more.
We help newcomers with all of those challenges but we like to have some fun as well along the way.
During the lockdown, our settlement program ran a two-part workshop on how to build terrariums. We supplied everyone with the equipment and had lots of fun. What was really inspiring was to see how many families participated. Building a terrarium is something that young and old can do together.
