As a registered non-profit charity organization, CCI Ottawa is guided by a commitment to accountability and transparency. Our work is built on the belief that newcomers deserve support, dignity, and a sense of belonging as they build their lives in Canada. To ensure we uphold these values, we are governed by a Board of Directors who provide strategic leadership and oversight.
Our Board is made up of community members who bring diverse expertise, lived experience, and a shared commitment to supporting newcomers. They volunteer their time to help shape the long-term direction of the organization and ensure that our programs remain responsive, ethical, and aligned with our mission.
The Board of Directors plays a key role in the strength and stability of our organization. Their responsibilities include:
Setting the strategic direction of the organization
Ensuring strong governance practices and compliance with non-profit regulations
Overseeing financial stewardship, including budgets and annual audits
Supporting and evaluating the Executive Director
Upholding our mission, vision, and values
Ensuring accountability to the community, funders, and the newcomers we serve
We welcome applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds, lived experiences, and professional expertise. Especially those who reflect the communities we serve.
If you are ready to make a difference, we encourage you to get in touch.
