CCI Ottawa is looking for donations of hockey skates in working condition or donations of new skates.
The skates will be used by newcomers who take to the Rink of Dreams next month as part of our Skating Buddy Program. With a team of volunteers, we teach newcomers to skate. The program is open to all ages.
For many newcomers, they know Canada has a winter season, but until they’ve experienced it, it’s a challenge for many to appreciate just how cold it can be. The Skating Buddy Program is one of several ways we introduce newcomers to fun things they can do despite the chilly weather.
If you would like to donate a pair of skates, please drop them off at the fifth floor at CCI Ottawa, 219 Argyle Avenue.
